What a treat esp for the long tenure DSM fans. What's next on youtube, Shep starting a channel and showing why his transmissions worked so good back in high 90's/low 2000's?
@@split150 Shep doing a channel would be amazing!!
1:38 That’s what she said!!
hahahaha
Thanks so much excellent video! Best wishes for the 2025 season
Thanks for watching!
Keep these videos coming!!! This is awesome to see what really happens behind the scenses!!!
Thanks and we plan on doing just that.
Love that you’re taking us behind the scenes! I had my GSX gen 2 since 2004. End up with track only with 800awhp. But tired of rebuilding gearboxes. So now I got 8hp70 rwd. Still 6bolt 4g63
@@mrbsweed Thanks for watching and commenting. Planning on doing more videos like this since many are enjoying them.
Hell yeah.....Devin. Good luck Buddy. We will be cheering for you as always.
Thank you
Thanks for keeping the DSM platform alive Devin. Been tinkering on these cars since the 90s, hope to get my 2g down to tx2k one of these years and meet you.
Thanks for commenting, and anything we can do to help with your 2G, let us know.
Great vid Devin. You guys have always been great to us when we have been over to WCF from the UK. Really appreciate the time you’ve spent with us going over the car. Good luck at TX2K 🇬🇧
Thank you. Our pit is always open to you guys....WCF, TX2K, FL2K. Don't hesitate to stop by.
The intro to this video is 🔥!!! That should be a short intro to EVERY video you put out from now on! Thank you for the effort to put out content Devin!!! This community NEEDS someone like you to pass info on, and teach the younger generation as well as future generations. There's something EVERYONE can learn in your videos. Very appreciated! 💪
Thank you for the kind words. And for your support. Will def think about doing an intro like this in every video.
Love that you guys are making videos now! Good luck @ tx2k
Thank you!
6.5 lbs of rotating mass off the driveshaft is HUGE at this level.
Yes Sir!
Thank you for the great content and good luck in Texas.
Thank you
All of the best with TX2K. Great content. You have a good team behind you.
Thanks. Appreciate the kind words. Our team is amazing. That's for sure.
the king is back!!!

Thank you for continuing to rep whats left of the dsm community. You and your car are living legends.
Thank you. Appreciate the kind words
Thanks for sharing .. boosting performance… we love all your hard work .. ❤
Thank you. And thanks for watching and commenting.
Great videos!! I’ve been following RDV1 from its start and now on to RDV2. Always been one of my favorite cars to follow! Keep up the videos I like seeing details about the car! I had an Evo9 and a red 2g back in the day. I sure miss the EVO. The new owner actually took it to your shop for a full build!
Thanks for commenting and following along.
cheers from Puerto Rico, love this channel and the tech information!!!!!
thanks for commenting and watching.
teamwork makes the dream work
Yep thats for sure!!
Have you ever considered adding a flat bottom floor to reduce drag (like dzus fastening on flat panels to the pinch welds and making a tunnel system out of the cars floor like a WTAC car)?
Yes we have, thanks for the advise and for watching.
You guys could even throw worn out or broken demon parts in with T-shirt sales and that would bring in some cash it worked real good for Steve Morris, costs nothin and frees up storage space😂
Not a bad idea. thanks!
@@BoostinPerformance 🤘😎🤘Cheers, been following you as best I can for years and I would love to see Red Demon make Cleet sweat again.
@@BoostinPerformance this is or was supposed to be an edit to a different comment that’s now gone…?? I was saying you guys should do car giveaways or turbo giveaways (something similar) and I gave you an example of a channel called motionautotv, he’s a small RUclipsr in comparison to the big guys doing the giveaways but he’s been doing them for years because they work, the cars he gives away just show how well these giveaways work for bringing in money and that you don’t need huge view counts or massive sub counts for them to pay off huge. I really wanna see things come easy for you like they do for others, you’ve got the base
5:07 DAMN DEVIN! Didn't realize you were good at Tig welding. I guess it's natural at that level to need to be proficient to maintain a car like the Demon
Thanks. Devin been welding way before Boostin Performance began. He went to school for welding while also getting his ASE certifications. He wears many hats here at Boostin - owner, welding, builder, driver, tuner, etc
Keep up the good work I’m loving these videos!
Thanks for commenting and watching.
My favorite drag DSM ever.
Thank you
Man bro i hope my boy get to take a pic with your car!!!! I regret selling my talon!! See you and your team tomorrow!!
me too lol it was automatic though! but it was a TSI
I got one for sale AWD TSI lol
Stop by our pit at TX2K and say hi! We're in the racer parking area at the end of the track. We are not in vendor row.
@Boostinawd kids were burnt out but my boy was able to take a pic with your car yesterday and I really appreciate that! Let me know where I can tag you all and thank your for the time to get close up to your vehicle! It's been a decade overdue for us!
I've been watching you guys race for a long time now. How did I just come across your channel. Sube'd for more content!
Thanks. We just started to really post up new videos/content within the past couple of weeks.
So badass!
thank you
Hell yea, Dev! Crush it at 2k!
Thank you
the red deam is the perfect example of a well-built machine! ❤❤❤
thank you very much.
That compressor wheel is siiiiick.👍
Thanks for Watching!
Good luck at TX2K!!
Thank you
Absolutely BEAUtiful shafts (head tilt)
hahaha thanks. Did we say shaft too many times in the video? 😉lol
@@BoostinPerformanceyou can never say it too much imo
Is that the standard 300m output shaft? Crazy you broke that😮
It twisted, we didnt break it. Thanks for watching.
Have y all twisted them before or is that the first time?
1:04 JB weld easy fix 😅😂
lol, I'll remember that for next time. 😉
That engine setup would run 5's in a 1/4 in a promod body, surely a beast!
If only, lol! Thanks for watching
I think i hit the notification button one too many times lol
hahaha.....😆
This car made me keep my 95,now if only I could ever keep it on the road🤣😭
Another question do you guys sell that driveshaft adapter to make the fwd awd??
No thats a custom piece. Thanks for watching!
Did you figure out a clutch solution yet? I remember it slipping on the scramble.
We've been working with Quarter Master (who is the manufacturer of our clutch), and have some new options we're trying out.
Cool would you use a slipper clutch if you could? I imagine it was tricky getting that triple disc setup with the launch device.
that still air to air intercooler I'm assuming based on size and location? is that custom half rad?
Yes RD is using a air to air intercooler, and its a half size radiator.
@@BoostinPerformance What is the purpose / reasoning for keeping an intercooler with the front of the car blocked off from airflow?
*13:00** No offense. But that's not how impellers work. That's a low pressure area where the nut is, and contributes very little to no in flow dynamics. This is observed in just about every single spiral on the planet. There's a hole in the middle.*
*Whoever told you the malarkey about the nut, they just did that so they can grab a patent on something that the patent has run out on.*
PUERTO RICO love this car 4g63 power
Thanks for watching!
Use a laser level for the shaft
Thanks for the idea. Will look into that.
Do you have same angel on the rear diff and transfer? Maybe just a illusion from camera angel
If not, transmission send you bills
No Honda viscous driveshaft needed on the fastest 4g63. Understanding the car, clutch slipper, and setting up the car right is all it took.
Yes sir!
So what you’re saying is that’s a neutered turbo😂😂😂
bascially.....yeah. lol
@@BoostinPerformance Poor thing, no nuts🤣🤣
Why call it a 95 Eclipse...but dress it as a 95 Talon?
The car is technically an Eagle Talon but most people dont know about Talons. Only true DSMers would know about Talons. More people know what a Mitsubishi Eclipse is instead so to appeal to a broader audience we said Eclipse in the video but Red Demon is really a 95 Eagle Talon.
@Boostinawd I understand that to a point. I am not Famous, but I have been a DSM Enthusiast since 1998....and driven my Tuned 95 GSX over 170mph legally on the A60 German Autobahn, and built it to be a 12 second daily driver.
My 98 Eclipse GSX was beautiful/Stylish., and only 350awhp @ 14psi.
I had/loved a 92 Talon Tsi AWD, m5, 6 bolt/4 bolt car...and sadly sold it in 2002.
I've been a big fan of RedDemon, keep up the phenomenal work! So proud to see how far you've taken it. The launch and 1-2, and 11,000 out the back is inSaNe to see...🤪
215mph with the clutch slipping thru 4th is 🤯😵💫
@@BoostinPerformance Original owner '98 Tsi 5-spd here. Do you do restorations?
@@kpgsx thank you! Would love to drive one of our cars on the autobahn. So cool that you were able to do that!
@@Trajectionable Yes we do. We're actually doing a full restoration on an 04 Evo 8 RS. Give us a call or email us next week and we'd be happy to help! We are currently closed due to a racing event.
