Seriously...is this going to get any better soon? I'm giving it a couple more episodes to improve, or else it'll be dropped.
None of the characters are particularly noteworthy or impressive. Nai is simply annoying. Gareki has potential, but so far, what has he actually done? At this point, if you removed him from the story, you'd basically have the same story. Hirato and Tsukumo are so flat and serious that they're boring, while Yogi is the only charming one but even so, his type of character has been done before many times.
And the story...I still don't really know what's going on. I just know that Circus and some other organization are after Nai for whatever reason. Is it because of Karoku? Or because of his super hearing? Why do they even want someone with super hearing, especially someone as weak as Nai? And even though there should be some feeling of suspense or danger, I don't get that feeling at all. Maybe it's the sparkly eyes, or the cute sheep-bots (or whatever they are), or that the enemy doesn't feel that particularly threatening. In this episode alone, the two monsters incapacitated Gareki, Tsukumo, and Yogi and then just stood there as the captured three yelled at Nai to run. Sigh.
The production values on this series are amazing, and the plot does have potential, but so far, it's rather disappointing for a series I was genuinely looking forward to.
I couldn't stop listening the opening song-really liked it+ video looks quite nice.
About scenes in this- they created environment look really colorful and nice, feeling about this anime is similar to one i had with Zettai K. Children. But I really don't want to have that slow and spaced out plot. Hope this will get better.
Kyaaa. Yogi. I really love him. :3
Tsukumo is so beautiful. One of the most beautiful girls in anime.
That hide and seek. Haha, poor Gareki. "Off-limits baaaaaa."
Wow. They covered three chapters in one episode.
Certainly, this was strange episode. It could be boring but the end was a little more interesting. The biggest problem is a stupid main character.
First of all, we don't know anything about him except one information. He had a friend who disappeared and now he's looking for him everywhere. The plot seems to be interesting? The main character is a mysterious person? Not at all.
There are only two episodes so I don't want to write about a plot. Now it doesn't even make so much sens but I hope the story will develop in next episodes. Karneval has a potential because of the organizations and monsters. Its seems to be very curious for now.
The main character is just irritating. He rather doesn't think at all, he's very gullible, reckless and additionaly childish. His lost friend - Karoku - seems to be someone like a God for him – he thinks of him all the time, says his name without a reason. The mysterious Karoku is even in Nai's dreams. But why? I hope it'll be explained. I understand that Karoku can be very important for him but Nai should be less absent-minded.
This series is getting more interesting and that scene with Yogi introduces himself was done very well. We also get to see Tsukumo performing on a Circus stage and that was magnificent. Seems like Circus is a powerful organization for defense purposes against these monsters called Varuga.
It is very interesting so far and it seems like the mystery deepens when Karoku is revealed at the end but seems like he is on side of the enemy!? Looking forward to seeing more!!
Great OP and I like the new characters introduced so far. The Circus sounds like lots of fun and the music was especially great. Loved those little creatures who told Gareki it was off-limits.
The way Nai was "saved" was hilarious, so far this show is very nice and it has potential but the MC is silly and this may turn into a yoai reverse-harem kinda thing...

Wut?
I almost never read discussions after I made my post, if you want to reply PM me or post on my profile page.
Another weak white-haired boy and tough black-haired boy pair.
First it was Shion and Nezumi in No.6, then Shiro and Yatogami in K, and now it's Nai and Gareki.
What is with this same pairing coming up three times? Weird.
But yes. Yogi is cuuute. Reminiscent of Tamaki, as someone said. And I normally don't like cutesy little robot characters in anime, but these little sheep... aww.
Nai's hair is strange. I dislike it. I was yelling at him a bit too... he really needs to learn to listen. You tell him to stay put, he runs off and gets into trouble, you tell him to run, he stands there and almost gets killed. Idiot... Yet somehow, I don't hate him yet.
Oh man, I really like the ART~
I love this anime already. I mean, their eeeeyeeees * w *
Oh, and Karoku and Gareki are both pretty attractive.
I can't wait to watch more, though with only 13 episodes I'll have to make it last, it seems.
im finding myself more interested in the villains... the guy who used his hair as a weapon was freaky with his head just popping out the ground, also wondering what 'red seeds are' but hopefully that will be sorted soon..... yogi was interesting to say the least, can see why the women would shine to him xD his entrance made me chuckle xD yeah im still interested :)
Wow the OP is perfect :o...and so is the ending >_<!
And Koroku is alive? Wow, so much suspense going on, *looks at clock and sees that it's almost midnight* MUST. KEEP. WATCHING T___T
i started watching this again and i like it much better than before, mostly because i got into the seiyuu fandom and after kuroshitsuji, i really like this kind of setting. =P
it looks like the plot's gonna get kind of complicated and it only has 13 episodes so im not gonna expect it to explain and wrap everything up by the end.
Loved this ep! I like this better than the previous ep.
I lol'd so much at Nai in this ep, and not in a good way. His eyes really scared me. I was surprised the little girl talking to him didn't run away when she saw how big his eyes were. And boy..Nai's really obsessed with finding Karoku. I have a feeling Karoku is going to turn out to be a selfish jerk who abandoned Nai, and then Nai will be like 'shinjirarenai! 0.0'
Yay Yogi finally appeared! Mamo was so cute as Yogi lols, esp when he requested to play hide and seek. And Tsukumo-chan was so serious about the game haha.
And...the op song by Granrodeo is FREAKING AWESOME. Kishow is such an amazing singer >_< but it's unfortunate that he had no character role in this show. But still, the seiyuu lineup is great and majority of the characters are beautiful so it's okay haha.
Circus sure is a strange organisation. They've got the power to fly, and even an airship in the shape of, what appears to be, a bat, maybe. Kinda cool, ngl. Another new character, Yogi, has entered the scene. An energetic character, seems decent enough right now. He and Tsukumo are on guard duty now, kinda sucks to be them.
Highlight: Tsukumo's circus performance. Something interesting about it. Most likely the use of colours
Ep Score: 3/5
Loved the episode really adore Nai and Gareki and come on people don't underestimate Nai
@Shion657 Tbh, I'm glad they're dropping. If they want to drop a series because the MC actually has flaws and doesn't have an ultra chad personality, then so be it. The fanbase will be curated with them gone.
