Your optimism in all honor, I would be really pleasantly surprised if the new Elli/Christine/Dylan event eventually connects back to the main Sophia path, but I don't believe it will.
While we did play a part of the Sophia/Dylan path for that day when we had Dylan go to the party, since all the other events, no matter which characters, ended up with certain yes/no decisions rather than sympathy points determining further progress on the individual path, I think that ends the Dylan/Sophia path.
When I read a book, I always find it confusing and disturbing at the beginning when the author suddenly changes the narrative perspective. Usually, however, the more the story progresses and the better I get to know the characters, the more I find the change of perspective refreshing. Especially since I know that the author will eventually bring the individual narrative strands together and they are important to the overall picture.
But the fact is here:
1. this new path seems to be a new side path that leads away from the main route and will no longer have any connection to the main narrative thread. And thus it is meaningless to the "big picture".
2. if you don't like the narrative from Dylan's point of view because you don't like the character, you'll never convince anyone it makes sense to keep telling the story this way.

But I have no influence on the way L&P tells its stories and for me personally that's okay. Of course I'm more interested in what happens next with Dylan/Sophia, Elli/Sophia, Patricia/Sophia or, for example, with the museum boys, but I think I'll also be entertained by this upcoming event because I'm neither super critical of a porn story nor specific fetishes have. I want to be entertained and that's always been the case at L&P (for me).

Make sure that you have the latest update installed for joiplay. I was having the same issue before doing this.

That would only have unnecessarily restricted the film.

BTW, L&P has already described in its game description that there can be events written from a different perspective other than Sophia in this game. Considering how popular the story about Dylan and Ellie is, I see no reason to cut back here. Rather, L&P should consider expanding these types of events.

The title of the game is A wife and Mother. The title is not A Brother and Sister or A Boy and a Girl.

Every update should revolve around Sophia.

Next update is the last or second to last update for the current ongoing day, which has been in development for almost 2 years now. It's a Dylan PoV update, and Sophia doesn't play a role in it. It's the alternative to the past two Sophia+Dylan updates, ending the current day. Dylan is going to a party, and it apparently also involves Ellie and some other characters.

I'm not quite sure if L&P has decided to cut the Dylan+Emma route, but if not, there's another update after that to finally conclude PD13.

1st part: Yes, Dylan and Ellie are important characters. However, Ellie goes to this party regardless of Sophia/Dylan's date. So, why do we not use Ellie POV at the party instead, since she is there with or without Dylan? If the party is so important that is. The fact we do not have this event regardless tells me that it isn't very important, or else it wouldn't be optional behind a route hardly anyone is playing.

Dylan & Ellie have more than enough chances to interact with each other outside of parties. They live together. Especially since this party has at least a few other characters (more branching) that doesn't have to do with their relationship or Sophia.


2nd part: This game relies on points & certain choices to get paths. It is very unlikely if not impossible that the Dylan/Sophia path can continue if they didn't go on a date. One path where they did go on the date (the handjob, cum on body, kissing etc.) and one where that didn't happen? Think about the complexity of that.

For an example, see how many "correct" choices had to be made to get Sophia in the bathtub topless. Now figure out a way for Sophia to get topless without all those "correct" choices being previously made.


3rd part: The Dylan & Ellie events are popular because they generally involve Sophia.


At best, this will lead to more complicated branching. And at worst, not be important at all. Or maybe that's reversed since the last thing this game needs is more complicated branching.


So my overall point still stands. LP has to make some sacrifices if he wants to complete this game. Is a party with Dylan/Ellie potentially interesting? Sure. But not interesting enough to create another half-dozen variables and side-routes to account for it.
